LowDown Helmets are hand made in Italy using only the finest materials for a truly unique, high quality ski and snowboard helmet. Each helmet is methodically crafted layer by layer of high quality fiberglass resign and lined with impact absorbing Expanded PolyStyrene (EPS). Seamlessly merging modern helmet technology with the style of yesteryear.
Each helmet shell is hand made and hand painted by masters of their craft.
There are inspections at different stages of the manufacturing process to ensure our high quality standards are met.
After hand painting, our helmets are prepared for a manual application of a nostalgic design created by our LowDown team. Then each helmet shell is hand finished with a layer of protective clear coat to ensure durability.
During assembly the vent grommets, shell piping, retention straps and impact absorbing EPS foam and hand sewn comfort padding are assembled with the shell. Then a final quality inspection is performed before boxing.
Hand making our helmets in Italy results in smaller batches of production, great working conditions and an exceptional quality that comes from helmets made by artisans.
